i was at and i was surprised as they have the new dyson display on display what a surprise.so here's my experience it is fantastic it feels more study then the 41mk2 it doesn't flex as much and the spine has been made thicker.and all my god the ball is so much bigger is so easier to maneuver.and it actually has two hepa filters it has one on each side of the ball so they are gonna last so long.this is probably the best dyson dyson have ever made.the plastic just feels so much stronger and durable i will have a side by side with the mk2 to show the differences in the plastic.i haven't got one but i desperately want one

So what happens when the tiny little jets get clogged with sticky dirt? Do they offer any way to clean the cyclone assembly, or do they just expect you to upgrade every couple years?
I noticed something interesting...
On the Dyson US website, these show up having less air watts than either the DC65 or DC41. My hunch is that they have decreased the power draw as they have had to in Europe. It would make sense to keep the models parallel in that respect.

The ends of the cyclones are made of a flexible material that vibrates-this is supposed to keep the cyclones from clogging-but the tiny orifice can still clog.Kinda unique.

The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Animal Allergy vacuum never loses suction. Dyson, along with just about every other major vacuuming manufacturer, has made this claim repeatedly in the past. And in the past, it's meant that the vacuum's filter was designed to last through a sucking up a cannister or two of dust without getting clogged enough to slow down performance.
Now, since the Cinetic series has done away with the filter entirely, the "never" part of the claim actually holds water. We obviously couldn't test the eternal aspect of "never," but we ran the Dyson Cinetic through a rigorous enough trial to be sure it'll last for years and years of realistic usage without a drop in suction, and when we put the best filtered vacuums to the same test, they couldn't keep up. The filterless approach works.

Ironically to my mind it doesn't matter what claims Dyson makes on having not to clean any filter. You still have to clean the brush roll periodically just like any other upright UNLESS you want the brush roll to clog up and then put up with the brown dust as it clogs the see through hose month after month. There's a reason to why so many other brands don't use see through hoses as a result.
I suspect Dyson will probably be trying out with a new larger tangle free brush roll in the same way as their pet hair tool demonstrates.

SO it still wont go under a bed or low coffee table?
Looks like they have not improved the bucket seal - looks like people will have to come into contact with allergens, dirt, and all the things these machines are supposed to protect us from everytime it gets emptied.
Theres muck all over it - looks like it needs wiping every time you empty it to make it seal properly again.
Interesting.
No advances there then still a dirty messy process.

but your picture quite clearly shows the seals being filthy with stray dust and hair/fluff.

I did wonder if the bigger ball was to accomadate the bigger cinetic cyclone technology. Do we know what the motor wattage is?
Looks very narrow on the inner collection chamber(s) for the fine dust to collect. I see there is a red fill line on the main bin now.
I would still think you will get some slight fine dust collect near the oscillating tips but obviously not on them, I mean on the gaps between each cyclone tips. Maybe the next future development would be for a 'take apart' cyclone to periodically wash out!!
One thing I notice is when you empty any Dyson bin be it into a kitchen bin, dust bin (trash can) or into a plastic bag the rubber seal on the trap door does get a bit dusty from emptying it. I used to wipe mine clean to make sure I was getting a good seal. My thought was any dust and grit on the rubber seal will not give a good seal once closed. Plus I use to remove the seal periodically to clean as dust and grit did get trapped under the rubber seal where it fits around the trap door.

Yes you do get dust settling on the seal. It's always best to give them a quick wipe.And I agree it would be good if Dyson made it easy to clean the cyclone assembly.
I wash mine out with water every 6 months. It's safe to do providing you leave a few days to dry. But it's not really necessary under normal use, it won't affect performace.

it is narrow but it comes out really easily but there is a slight coaching of dust near the cyclones it doesn't accumulate after time it's only just a fine liar of dust.that's what happens to the canister as well just a light coating of dust and this model you never have to clean cyclone assembly it will get dusty but thats point
and even if there is dirt on the seal it will still make a perfect seal really no point cleaning as to me it doesn't make a difference and it still seals really well.

You're probably right Dyson boy it will still seal properly but I like to give it a wipe anyway. Must be my OCD
