Pro team shop vac and Kenmore bought for 35$ both were dirty but works good
The Electrolux ap 280 free for Christmas from a friend. Works good love it .
That little teal Kenmore Premier is one of my favorite Kenmore vacuums. I will tell you what really wakes them up is the Ametek motor used in Pro Team Supercoach backpack vacs. It is Ametek 119347-01. It is a direct drop in replacement for the single stage Ametek in there now but has a tapered fan and BIG airflow. Run it with a genuine Kenmore Type Q synthetic dust bag and cut some synthetic filter media you can buy at the hardware store for window air conditioners to squeeze in behind the pre-motor filter screen. You can take that hose ends apart and replace the old hose casing with the 8 footer for the Kenmore 21814 Elite 800 Series. Just use the white and blue wires, ignore the yellow third wire cuz you don't need it for this vacuum. Then you can run any of several power nozzles with it. Great hard working and dirt simple vacuum that posts surprisingly big numbers on my anemometer. We use one often.

I did a similar conversion with a 8 foot hose on a blue kenmopre premier with original motor work great had a pn man she had suction and good reach i might do it again on this one

It's such a basic and humble vacuum but they work so well. Hard to believe sometimes but it's the direct descendant of those very first swivel hose Kennys from 1984 but kicked downmarket with the arrival of the Whispertone and the Progressive. I think Panasonic built these into the early 2000s.

shes tough had her rear wheel replace with casters but her motor and hose work just fine not much bearing noise inside was whistle clean for the age i like it . Id love to find a whispertone 5.5 with variable speed o n the handle and 8 foot hose with the hayden panasonic power head in black .

Whispertones went from the first version with a 4.5 peak hp rating to 5.4 before switching to the 12 amp nomenclature for the two stage motor versions and 11 amps for the later down market versions with single stage motors ( I jokingly call them Whimpertones ). There was never a 5.5 anything from Kenmore. I have a black 5.4 Whispertone with the EVPC ( Electronic Variable Power Control ) and an 8 foot hose. Fantastic vacuum.

Tip, the old noisy geared belt Powermate those came with can be upgraded to silent poly v-belt drive using the motor, belt and brush roll from the Titan T7 power nozzle ( sold as the T7 for central vacuum use and also sold with the Titan T9200 canister vacuum ). I have done a couple of these conversions. The parts drop right in because the T7 is basically the modern version of the old Whirlpool design retaining all the same internal dimensions, mounting points and tabs, etc. Drop in silence. And obtw, because they are long out of production the geared belt brush rolls and motors have become very expensive while the parts I just put into my old Powermate are inexpensive and abundant. It also does a better job on pet hair with the new chevron brush roll than the soft brush strips and beater bar of the original geared belt brush roll.

Food for thought.
