I finally found one!

Very interesting machine.  The hose is well made and very flexible.  It also comes with a separate extension wand and a horse hair floor brush.  The dusting brush, upholstery tool, and crevice tool store on board.  It looks like the exhaust "Absolute" filter was never changed as it is black.  I switched out the filters and cleaned the seals.  The brush roll arrangement in the nozzle is the opposite of most vacuums.  Instead of being a chevron drawing towards the center, it draws towards the edges.  It does appear that the belt is in the middle and the brush roll almost seems like it is two pieces.  It also looks like you need to take the whole nozzle apart to change out the roll and belt.  The roll has some sound coming from it which could just be a result of the two piece construction.  According to a note in the manual, it may have been acquired in 2013.  Looking at a number on the bottom of the motor housing seems to imply 2011.  Not sure.

Very brief initial tests:

Water lift, under 60 inches

Particle Test:

0!

I look forward to more tests and seeing how much replacement cones are.  I'm also looking to vacuum the whole house.

Water Lift

I should probably clarify that the unit has a suction reliefe vaulve, so that is likely being triggered by sealing the system to measure water lift.

From the video I saw on the Filtropur It looks like the brush roll may be installed backwards on your machine if that is possible. Some newer machines have end caps that will only fit one way in the machine housing.

In the video you can see when they show the under side of the power head that the brushes spin so that they push debris toward the suction in take. Not out towards the ends of the power head.

It really isn't abnormally heavy actually!

It does have a unique look, that's for sure!  I paid under $150.  It's in such nice shape and has all the original attachments (and a new set of filters and a few cones).  Do you have a link to the demo video?  I've seen the ones officially made by the company but not much in the way of reviewers or enthusiasts.

I saw the same video and noticed that too.  I'll see about sorting that out.

I get vibes of the Hoover “Z.” From the color, to the asymmetry, to the floor head. I bet this works much better, though!

Thanks for sharing! Enjoy your new vac.

I thought of a Hoover Z as well.  I suspect it keeps airflow much better considering the cone system, but I'm not sure if the motor is as strong as the Hoover Z.

It turns out that the rear left bracket for the back wheel had cracked and been repaired with two bolts and some glue.  I'm going to contact FVS to get replacement parts, and maybe a brush roll and belt too.
