I Can't Take This Woman Seriously

Amazing!!!! I clean my sofa and chairs with the same procedures and have been doing so long before this video.(over 40 yrs) The only exception is I use my Kirby. This is a good video for the younger generation that is clueless that you need to clean once in while and what a vacuum is used for. We just need to remind them to empty the bag or cup once in awhile as the dirt goes some where. L.O.L.

Funny

I know her sofa looks quite clean but she isn't very thorough
She seems to have forgotten to put a crevice nozzle on and clean down the side where the side meets the springs I always vacuum down in that gap and the same across the back where the back meets the springs. Then she seems to forget to vacuum the the sides and the back of the sofa before replacing the cushions. She also doesn't clean all four sides of any of the cushions. Maybe I'm just a bit OCD but to me that's not a good video about how to vacuum sofa
By the way guys I'm with you on the whole lower suction thing I know many people who have ruined furniture thinking they had use full power, especially with some of these turbo heads

I remember when I was a kid my mum used to pick her Hoover junior 1012 up and vacuum the sofa every day ( I remember the dude coming to demo the kirby legend and getting quite annoyed because he could not pull any dirt out the sofa. He asked my mum if she had a kirby hiding somewhere the answer was no but she explained to him the way she vacuumed it every day ) in fact she did it with all her turbopowers as well then once a week she would use the tools to go down the sides etc.

I use my Electrolux 1205 with the combo dusting/upholstery tool or Compact with upholstery tool or TriStar CXL with Wessel Werk HEB160 PN

In either case I use crevice tool for edges & tufts

The Lux & Compact upholstery tools dont have any lint pickers or brush to remove lint or cat hair

Well its trickier with a Henry, unless you have all the tools to hand since they don't store on the machine. Then dealing with the brutal suction, twisting the difficult to twist open valve and in some cases on a Henry, difficulty of removing the rubber cuff off the metal handle.

By the time I have faffed about, I may as well use a dust buster and try coax it to suck up any dirt on the sofa.

I wish tools on Henry were on board.

The problem I find with my Henry is that knowing in advance is required for the kind of tools I want and having them lying around. With the Miele S8 or even SEBO D2, the tools are ON the machine; everything is together, not to mention having to use the optional adaptor if I want to just use the cuff of Henry PLUS the smaller cleaning tools.

No, not really. Because in use the filter rises up from the dust bag below so putting a weight of tools on top could make the motor over heat.

I dont know why Numatic don't offer external body slots like Vax and Karcher offer - would be a heck of a lot easier on the domestic models - but then Numatic could argue that puting slots into the body could deter the durability of the plastic.

I have owned three clip on tool storers with Henry vacs - they're just not practical. They either fall off or the tools fall off.

The only thing I love about Henry is the bent handle at the top - it can be swapped around at the bottom, so getting up high when cleaning book shelves and book cases is dead simple. Also handy for getting around the corners of the backs of appliances like washing machine or tumble dryer.

When I get my first. Henry, I might stick 3 pieces of Velcro on the machine, then the Velcro on the tools to stick them on! 😃

Never understood why Numatic never added tool storage posts on Henry's "bum end", between the wheels. Kerstar do this on their canister vacs (see piccy), and IIRC, Contico offers a similar setup on theirs also.

The tool storage clips they supply now serve a purpose I suppose, but they're far from ideal. You only get one for starters. Previously I bought additional clips so as to keep all the tools on board, and the end result was just like using a Filter Queen, i.e. all the tools kept getting hung up on door frames and furniture while cleaning. What a pain in the @ss.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You guys really have a great sense of humour, a bit of a chilly undertone, but hey, reading through the threads above, 10/10 for giving the rest of us a good laugh and contributing to the entertainment factor.

Each one of you have a valid point, and the way you protect your stand and stand your ground is remarkable.

Good for you. Truth be told, the woman in the video really tries her best, but really now, is there anyone that owns a vacuum cleaner not knowing what it is used for. By the whoops and hoops quick pull here and there. I wanted to say " I beg your pardon, but I think you have missed a spot." but was afraid she may though the vacuum at me, that is the elite though not the screaming little compact. I have great concerns if the sofa is really clean. and the how to clean a ceiling fan was the best, and that with an elite that does not have the ability to reach with extention tubes fitted, as the hose will not allow you. Hey another video, how to put your vacuum on the dining room table in order to reach the ceiling fan.

My apologies to the lady, we all need a bit of a giggle in these times, and if she has the ability to make us laugh why not. Thanks to her. She has great points with merits, hahahaha maybe someone out her neck of the woods can text her letting her know about the great features of the Kirby, or Vorwerk Kobokld, the Miele, she will have a great time making videos on how the machines could ease the modern life style in a demanding rat race.

From a very Proud Hoover Elite/Legacy Owner.
