Favorite Irons

My grandmother had a sky blue kerosene fired iron but I had never seen it in use

My favorite all time irons based on looks were the open handled Westinghouse models and the Presto white push button model

Always liked a steam iron with spray feature. My first iron was a smaller than average GE with a temp control on the side the white model with spray and a light blue model w/o the spray. Got rid of it when it stopped heating and shocked me! GE small appliances never fixable since 1970. if you ever needed a replacement part you were out of luck if it were discontinued and lots of models were during that time!

Present Iron is a Sunbeam with auto shut off, burst of steam, self cleaning and pressurized spray, and with cord reel!

Hi John:

I checked, and double checked to see if Hoover was in the list, no luck!
Yes, I'm more active here than most people know, just watching from the sidelines, but very little gets by me!
