Hi, I just restored this vacuum and wondering if can anyone tell me the mfg. date or "circa" when the machine was made? I have no clue how old the machine is and would like to learn more about it.

Thanks in advance of your reply.
P.S., the machine runs well and it is just as clean on the inside as it is on the outside as the motor was removed in the restoration process :)

I have one identical to this that's a Kenmore. The bag is black with gold lettering and it's labeled "Kenmore Jr." on the belt access cap. I've had it many, many years. It's one of the few vacuums I still have from when I lived in Maryland (from 1970-80). I found it in a thrift shop there. Mine is like the one on the eBay link except that mine is in much better condition.

btw Royal hand vac belts will work on this machine.

Restored Vac

chicagomike,
Someone, perhaps you, said recently that if we can't say anything nice----
So I can and will say that your restored vacs whether Kirby or other such as above are STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!I have never had the equipment, time or skill for polishing but it is obvious that you do and do it well.

That IS a beautiful restoration indeed! The serial number plate looks very similar to those used by General Electric and Premier. I know Clements made a lot of privately labeled machines.
