How rare is a Hoover Lark Model 14?

Lark 12 Specs

Yes, it uses a type-C, bottom-fill disposable bag inside the cloth outer bag. And, yes, a blower adaptor was available but was "furnished only on special order." Part 47624. The entire bag assembly would be removed and it would mount on the main casting as did the bag ring. A blower adaptor from a Convertible could also be used, mounted onto the fill tube inside the cloth bag. But, when the 12 was first around this part had yet to appear.

Is there a problem with the bag pulling loose at the bottom on these Larks? It looks in the photo like it's awfully tight, appears to be quite stretched out. That would seem problematic to me.

Hmm...

Maybe in some cases, but the spring which suspends the bag should allow it enough 'give' to stop this happening. More of a problem, I would have thought, would be the thin fabric chafing against the bellows, or snagging on things. It's very similar to our Junior 1334's bag material - although the Junior's is possibly even thinner!

Thanks Chris

I have phoned and left a message, also emailed and no return
call or mail. Maybe I should tell whomever I talk to what I
need. I stated in the email and on the phone that I was from
the vac club. I'll try again.
Thanks
Norm

Sold $162.50

"vacphone" got it. Is that a VL member? Looked like a nice unit, good shape. It was about $100 more than I bid. No idea it was so rare. Oh well, maybe next time....

Hoover Lark 14

I was told by a vac shop owner that he used to throw them in the dumpster by the dozens (oh the Horror) He said they were an economy model of Hoover. I always wanted one also but now I have four.. One in excellent shape two in fairly good shape and one that needs servicing or new bearings in the motor. I was going to part out that one. But I am going to be selling at least one of them soon when I go through all these doubles and triples of vac models..

The only real issue with one

Is the belt is the same belt used on the 115. with the wider brushroll they tended to be hard on belts. I have one of each color. from the Mike Hays collection.
