Hotpoint have released a new cylinder vacuum cleaner on the market and will be released in August 2013. Branded under a new range of appliances called "HD," the "SL" range of cylinder vacs appear to be quite conventional save for a remote control handle and a novel trolley handle incorporated like trolley suitcases.

Thanks for sharing Ryan. It's nice to see the Hotpoint name back on a vacuum cleaner.

I'm liking the look of this range. I imagine the trolley feature would appeal very much to parts of Europe where uprights are virtually non-existant.

And at 1600w, they're not excessively powerful like a lot of cylinders these days. Not as eco-friend as say a Numatic, but certainly steps in the right direction in terms of bringing motor watts down.

As Siemens previously manufactured Hotpoint's vacuums, I wonder who is making these?

As I have a BJ's Electrical Store across the road from where I work during the summer, they'll probably have these in there at the RRP. Will be cool to go & try one out. Hopefully the Bagless System is better than most.

My parents know lots of people who work at BJ's (we supply them with Sugar & Coffee) & they know about me liking vacuums so they'll let me try one out if they get them.

Hi,

Hi, I was talking to my supplier on Saturday and I told him about Hotpoint bringing a vacuum cleaner back on the market.
He already knew as two weeks before a Hotpoint engineer was at his and was telling him about it. They didn't even know anything about it till they was offered one at a staff discount.

He said there are plans to released a Hotpoint upright as well.
I don't know more than that.

Can't wait to see them but they will probably be down in price in no time ready for everyone to buy one!

WOULD YOU GET THE BAGGED ONE OR BAGLESS ONE???
