Still thats a huge price drop = thank you for that info Chris.

As for the Hotpoint range - the TOL models are copying what Electrolux did back in the 1990s (and Hoover soon followed with their Sensory cylinders) by offering both a bagless style box with ring filter AND the option to pull that out to put a paper bag in.

Here, that model shows that instead of the bagless system, it comes with paper bags AND an SMS textile washable bag - Electrolux do that too, but only with a few of their cylinder vacs.

Thanks all the same Turbo500, if co-op electrical is run by Euronics then BJ'S Electrical must be getting the same price for them. Must go & see tomorrow but at £74.99 that's pretty good. The cord is longer than most models but just wandering about dust bag prices.

I actually have no idea what you're on about. Euronics are nothing to do with the Co-Op

Oh rights I see now, sorry for any confusion, you meant off Euronics website. That's what the link is for. Not thinking right ATM! It probs would be that price at BJs anyway, as they're Euronics too. Sorry again.

Just wasn't thinking straight last night LOL but I contacted Hotpoint today & they said bags will be available at the end of the month. I am going to buy one, the orange one, bagged for £99.99 off Euronics (got it right this time!).

The only thing that puts me off the Hotpoint is the rear filter door - its right at the back - so if you put it in the upright position on steps, the carpet is liable to get a good roasting from the base of the Hotpoint - or wherever you plant it in the upright position when switched on.

Well, from the link supplied that Chris gave on here, it does state a textile bag that does come with it.

However the more I think about it, it may be wrong - it may well just be a synthetic disposable dust bag that comes with it. As for cord length, its only 0.5 metres more than what Miele usually supply with their S6 and S8 cylinder vacs. But at the prices Hotpoint are charging, this bagged series at the starting prices are evidently cheaper.

I won't know until I get one in the flesh - it may be possible to fit a universal textile SMS washable dust bag to this model anyway.

I was thinking BOL too as I want to buy a Bosch MoveOn aswell as other things, plus the lime green colour looks really nice. I was also thinking the orange bagless version too.

Well Sebofan, I am only selling vacuums on that I don't want plus ill apparently be getting some money from my nan as she passed away but I have been given a couple of Kirbys that are valuable plus selling off a fair bit of my collection & making the money from review writing which you would know about!
