HOLY WINDTUNNEL!!!!!!

How much would this have cost when new???

To modern to be achieving this sort of price when used.

Something sure SUCKS about this. Hmmmmm.

Hmm

I got one for free and cleaned it up. It was nice as this one the vacuum is nothing special.

Look at the bidders. It's bots with 0 feedback and people with very little feedback. I am certain it is either bidders using credit cards with more money than brains and also someone is very well likely doing shill bidding. Either way, it will not sell. Nobody will pay for it. I will not be surprised to see it relisted.

As for the vacuum itself - it is the Hoover Windtunnel 100th Anniversary Edition. Yes, they were limited and made in low numbers. This is the top of the line model with power drive, electronic dirt sensor, dual floor height adjustments and rubber tires. The basic low end model had no power drive, only one height adjustment lever, a differently shaped onboard toolbox, but it did still have the electronic dirt sensor and I cannot tell if the wheels were plastic or rubber.

I got mine at the end of 2020 after 4 years of searching from a Goodwill outlet that was using eBay, and got mine for $50. They are gorgeous machines and you will not ever want to put it in a closet....but anyone that pays over $100 for one is wasting money like crazy.

The appeal of them is they were made exactly the same as the late 90's original Windtunnel vacs but with better HEPA filtration, the dirt sensor thing, and HEPA bags. I do believe when these first came out they were the only vacuum on the market at all that was self propelled.

PS: The bags advertised with it in the auction do not go to, and will not work with this vacuum. It takes Type Y bags.

what the hell???? And this is not even the true last one the was built in North Canton, this was one of the first Windtunnels made in China. The last Windtunnel in blue was the 100th anniversary model, the way you can tell the North Canton model is the rear wheels have silver hub caps on them, the Chinese built ones have just black wheels in the back. I have this exact machine as our daily driver for our second floor when we choose not to use the central vacuum. I still have another NIB one in my loft to keep as a spare. There has been a lot of scammers out there, I had a NOS genuine Hoover bag that I put on eBay and 2 clowns had a bidding war and drove it up to $185, when it came time to pay he backed out, i gave the other guy a second chance and he never responded. I wound up selling it for $28.00.

I had an idiot (meaning no feedback) bid up a cel phone and pay.
I cancelled the sale and put the name on the block bidder list. relisted the item.

If I see a suspicious bidder on any of my auctions, their id gets put on the block bidder immediately and all bids removed from the item.

Suspicious bidder: someone with no feedback, someone bidding on all or most everything you have listed, someone with about 20 feedback on an account that's existed since 1999, and they haven't bought anything for the last 5 years(?).

Are these ebay employees? Russians? teenagers? get real. Grow up.

I've even had a person with what appeared as a good account, they won, they paid, but then sent me a snotty demanding email.....
cancel the sale, refund, relist, and their name goes on the block bidder list.

I don't fuck around. I don't need loser scum.
