Well, guess what was waiting for me at the door this afternoon!!!, Hoover UK & Europe Anniversary model - The Hoover Slalom..!!!

What an interesting vac, quite sturdy, loads of features, Active Steering, Air Volution suction, Swivel Head & base, on/off beater bar, easy release dust bin, side handle parking for compact storage,have a look and let me know what you think!!! Vids to come later...

And here's mine!

They got it in stock a day early - I was down at Argos at 9.00AM, first customer through the door, to collect it!

I went for the Allergy Care Plus+ model. All the features of the Pets model, but with a few extras:

- Second mini turbohead, renamed 'Allergen Remover'! Identical to the one supplied with the cleaner, but treated with Silver Ion technology to kill bacteria. Quite why Hoover supply this cleaner with both turboheads, rather than just upgrading the standard one, I don't know!

- Silver Ion technology-treated cyclone chamber. Kills 99.99% of all bacteria within 24hrs.

- Packet of Allergen Defender Granules - for treating carpet/upholstery.

Thanks so much for the pictures. It does look very modern. It reminds me more of the Dyson with the strong colors. I can't tell-does it have any identification on the machine about it being the 100 yr Anniversary model? My Anniversary Windtunnel only has the Anniversary on the box. I really like your collection of old machines. Thanks for taking the timne to share with the club.
