As you all know by now, I have a hoover turbopower boost U2718 and I have noticed that I think the carpet is clean and then the hoover seems to have left a load if debris! Every time I use it, and when I have finished it leaves a trail of dust/dirt on the floor- I have to keep vacuuming the floor until it eventually decides to throw the dirt into the bag!
Any help would be appreciated!
George

Strip down time! Taken the baseplate off and check the suction port. If clear, remove the bag, unscrew and remove the bag fill tube and check the bellows. Put another cleaner on the bellows and check for airflow out of the base. Check the bag fill tube in the same way.

If there are no signs of blockage, the first thing I would check is the fan. Occasionally they can wear out in the centre, where they thread onto the motor shaft, causing a loose fit. The result is a fan that either slips or doesn't turn at all, even though the motor and brush roll work fine.

Had this happen on a Turbo Junior once, and a new fan solved the problem right away.
