Here is my Hoover Turbopower 1000 that I won on eBay a couple of weeks ago, I went and picked it up but it was a bit of a pain in the arse to get there with all the snow but I made it in the end.
I do already have a 1000 that I got in a trade with my friend Chris (Turbo500) it was alright, but it's motor had ropey bearings, it was missing all of it's tools and was generally in not the best condition. I am glad I have got the one from Chris as it will be used as a spares machine.

Here it is then, good motor, good condition and has all the attachments.
For more info about it please check out the video that I made of it yesterday (link bellow), It is 14 minutes long so I hope you have your popcorn. :p

Anyway here are the pictures I took of it.

How bizzar...

First of all, there is the brilliant Activator.
For some reason, this Turbopower 1000 has a quick release dust channel which I always thought was only put on the Turbopower 3's and onwards.
For this quick release dust channel to work, it has to have the correct chasiss with the cut out for the plastic piece to fit on propperly. Earlier versions as I have seen has a screw in plastic dust channel, which means it needs a screw hole, which this chassis does not, the chassis on this 1000 was made in 1992 as it says on the little dial, how strange, maybe they used the quick release dust channel from the beggining. :S

lovely metalic finish there!

Blanking sticker, early models would of had a piston bag indicator which was later removed and replaced by a light.

The attachments.

Notice that there are stupidly two crevice tools, the short crevice tool was eliminated on the later turbopower 2's and 3's but the 1000's and early turbo 2's had this short crevice tool. The reason for the short crevice tool was because there was only originaly one long extension wand and not the long crevice tool.

A service sticker which Hoover must of affiliated Ariel with there washing machines as the sticker say they recommend. Anyway this one (like I said earlier) was made in Febuary 1993.

Thanks Dysondestijl! that is a relief

Ultraperformer - I would like one of the new Turbo power cleaners but I am sure the old Turbopowers would be better, aspecially the Dirty fan ones!
