I gave in and got a bagged vacuum a few days ago lol! I’ve wanted one of these for a while now as I have the Freemotion, and just purely from a design perspective it takes some beating but as an everyday cleaner I would not recommend it obviously ☺. Here’s the packaging it came in I’ll cover the navigator control later but as for “Super Silent” I can confirm it is a very quiet vacuum, my test is it you can vacuum a room and not disturb people sat watching the TV.

Changes to remote control, I tried the Freemotion remote control with the Silent Energy, it works and makes the Silent Energy have four motor speeds where the original Silent Energy remote only gives three!!!! :o

Hoses compared ,the Silent Energy (Right) hose is much more flexible and has a string reinforced mesh. The Freemotion's hose (left) are well know to split, I believe it’s because they're so stiff (no innuendo please lol) Overall I really like this machine the finish is much tougher than the Freemotions and has not scratched yet! and I really think the hose would cope with daily use. Good Head!

I know the Freemotion head got a lot of criticism but on hard floor I thought it was great :s However the Silent Energy head is just as good and better on carpet, it must be about 5-0 to the SE now! Overall this is a great machine 410 air watts too it really sucks! ;)

Thanks Kenneth :) I'm quiet liking the bag although I didn't put it back in quiet properly and got a bit of dust in the chamber :s Overall its nice to use and has it 440 Air watts not 410 like I said earlier but on full power the head is too hard to move on carpet so a powerhead like you say David or even a turbo head would be great I wondered about getting the Freemotion Turbohead but its white, suppose I could get one and spray it black but thats a bit of a faff?

I think it is two years, it's packed away in the loft now so I can't really check and don't think I'll be getting it down for a while, certainly not in this heat lol, I'm sure it will tell you on Hoovers website :)

According to Google it comes with a 5 year guarantee from Hoover's UK website. However, I've just found a whopper of a guarantee leaflet that you can download. It seems to lack a date of expiry : )

Also check Hoover's site where this 5 yr guarantee is concerned: http://www.hoover.co.uk/small-appliances/5yearguarantee/

Also do look at the Hoover TeliosPlus - http://www.hoover.co.uk/small-appli.../tte2304-telios-plus-cylinder-vacuum-cleaner/

As I've reflected on before, this is a good all rounder. It may lack the curvy look of the Silent Energy but at least bags are more wider available and all the tools hide behind a flap rather than clipping behind the handle.

sebofan

It says you need the receipt to get it the 5 year guarantee

I have read about the 5 yr guarantee, it's for parts if they break & call out charges.

Where did you find out that The Silent Energy had a 5 yr guarantee.

I have seen the Telios Plus, it looks OK for the price.
