....Recently dug up this Hoover dealer's parts catalog c.1924 for the Hoover Model 541. Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I have. Be sure to check out the outrageous prices!

Many thanks for posting this Bernie - what a great reference tool!

I've saved it to add to my collection of Hoover paper ephemera.

That's just wonderful, Bernie, thanks for posting it!

I'll order the toolkit, the power-cord (with plug), a new brush-roll and a bag - actually make that 5 bags, and I'll put a few away as spares...

If only! :)

Jack.....

...you missed that boat by only 84 years. Suppose that's the one disadvantage I can think of with being so young. Glad you enjoyed the catalog though. I'll order a whole mess of those bags, and several other parts too, just as soon as my time machine arrives!!

There are many disadvantages to being this young!

I don't think many on the forum would be old enough to have ordered from a 1924 parts catalogue anyway!

Speaking of 541s..

Here's mine; a collection favourite. It's also my oldest machine, and the second Hoover model ever to be sold in Britain. They're extremely hard to find over here; Hoover didn't have the same market domination in the UK at this point as they did in the US, as the brand had only been trading for three years. Consequently, not nearly as many were sold.

This one has a 1930s replacement bag, and a replacement cord, but is otherwise 'as-found'. All it needed was a good clean!
