Well, I never experienced anything, my Dc07 is an excellent machine in out multi floored terraced 3 story house with 5 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 front room, a conservatory, and it copes with all floors! I am going to buy another DC07 and a Kirby G5

Ryan I don't think using Shake 'n' Vac every once in a while will harm a vacuum cleaner but not all the time and I certainly would not want to use it for a bagless! What a mess!

I used Shake and Vac once with my U2604 when my daughter was sick on the carpet...

The old turbopower got it up well, and the carpet smelt great for the rest of the week until I could shampoo it at the weekend, but the TP was plastered in the stuff! Still is actually as I havent refurbed it yet, not even turned it on!

Tayyb - take the top handle off the cyclone and see if it's plastered the inside of the cones. That's how it starts!

From Hoover Turbopower U2334

Picked this up yesterday from freecycle. Should help me troubleshoot my U2334 that doesnt seem to want to make its motor work after a refurb! Wet is from my run to the house from the car, was tipping it down!

And, here is a video of the U1650 after a rebuild. Can fully strip and re-grease the top bearing on the amtek motors which is nice! Still very loud though!

I did think about putting an older 400w motor in but A - I havent got a spare, and B it would ruin the originality! It's not too unbearable in real life tbh.

Sound deadening could possibly be added I suppose, not sure what it would do to heat build up though!
