I've recently acquired a very tidy 375 and wondered if someone could please help me with the following?
1) Year of manufacturer; serial number is 3260199, it has the narrow wheels and manual height adjuster. All of which indicate pre war 1937-39, but it lacks the black stripe down the cleaner head. Only the fan cover is painted black.
2) It has the original flex, condition not too bad, but given that it's now around 75 years old I think wise to replace this. Can anyone advise the best way to earth this with modern 3 core flex? There is an earthing point inside the switch housing (as a 3 core flex appeared to be fitted in some markets), but given that the power goes via a 2 pin socket at the base of the handle, I can't see any way of earthing it right down to the motor and cleaner head without the earth wire being visible. I could just earth it into the switch housing (better than nothing) but that's not really a complete solution. Is there another way?
3) Does anyone know of a UK source for brush roll strips (or can they be adapted from another model)?
