Does anyone have a suggestion for Hoover Type H (Celebrity) bags? Are the genuine green Hoover ones the best?

Is there a substitute bag for another vacuum that would work and have better filtration?

Any ideas or experiences?

Are the newer ones in the black and white Hoover packaging the same bags as the older blue and white? I heard some of the newer Hoover bags are made by some other company. But they still look green to me.

I think Envirocare is also pretty good. DVC made a lot of bags for older machines, I understand they closed up several years ago. Is anyone making aftermarket bags for older vacs anymore?

Cool, good to know DVC is still in business.

I looked in ACE Hardware this week. They had all the Hoover bags, A, C, D, H, J, K, S, short/long Handivac, etc. in both the older blue/white and the newer black/white packaging. They wanted $8.99 for a pkg of the 3 H bags though, so I think I'll just get them online. Can get more for that on eBay.

I've wondered that myself.

I have large, plastic 'tucker totes filled with them. There are tons of type A,C,D,J,H, short and long housing handivacs, etc. There are even several pkgs of the Handisacs, too. I find them here and there, mostly there, in thrift shops, old hardware stores, etc. I only use genuine Hoover. I've gotten a lot of bojack bags that came with cleaners, etc. I save them for folks who like, need, will use them.
Are you in need of a specific type bag?

I may start using these slim F&G style bags in my convertibles. I know there was a time when genuine meant something. In some cases, the generic is even better than the genuine. To put this all in perspective it’s a freaking dust bag!!!! That holds dirt.

Most of the generic bags today are most likely better than the paper thin bags from 60s, 70s and 80s.
