I have a chance to get a NIB Guardsman, that hideous billious green one, for under $100.00 I just might. It's a trusted and tried model... back in the good old HOOVER days. I'm still thinking about it. I don't want tons of "NEW stuff", but. it could be a fun thing to have. A true HOOVER design... the "Convertible" of the new age.

Where

are the "new" convertible based machines being built? Are you referring to that neon green dirt cup model? Oh well, under 100.00, might as well...you can always spray paint it!

John, all the new guardsmen needs is some faux wood panels to accompany that green!

Amazingly Hoover did indeed put the Kenmore name on a few of their vacs. I was looking through Sears Parts Direct and encountered a very strange model number in a listing of every canister vacuum Sears ever sold. So I loaded it's page and at first didn't have a clue what I was looking at. I even posted the link here asking what it was. It turned out to be a Dimension 1000 canister. You can bet your sweet bippy I would dearly love to get my grubby little turtle paws on a Kenmore branded Dimension 1000. That would be the queen of the collection instantly.

Alex, you need to post up some clearer images of that vacuum for us to enjoy.

GET IT!!!

I think those neon green ones look really cool. I think you're talking about the neon green dirt cup model. I believe it was originally a Sams Club exclusive that model. They look neat!! Gotta love those wrap around headlights! That model is the first new version I've seen in years with the headlight returned to it before they came out with the red Professional cloth bag series CH50020.
