We went carbooting on Sunday, and I came away with an interesting little purchase.

Cleaner wise, there wasn't a lot. A red Turbopower, late 1990's run-out model wit hthe rocker switch on the main body, handle switch blanked off, no tools and pretty rough, and a Numatic NVQ-250, with more tape than hose on one stall (didn't ask the price), a Goblin Whispertone 1400 Electronic with no tools or hose. Seller wanted £10 for it, I left it! Saw a Hoover Airrane as well with no tools at all.

I did buy this for £4 though, a Hoover Freejet 12v cordless vac. Bought with the intent to give it to my girlfriends mum for her flat, I quite like it.

The filters are so clogged up that no suction comes out the base, so need a good wash, and the switch is faulty and cuts out randomly. I've had the switch apart about 3 times now, each time it behaves differently. I think I've figured it out now so will try again tonight.

Must be the most modern vac I've had from a car boot, but £4 and it works very well (well, WILL work very well!!)

Hi,
Never knew you where so close to me! I still do need the Hitachi tools, just got a wedding in the family coming up so quite busy till after that.
What carboot did you get the freejet from? It looks great!

Hi Jake. Good to hear from you.

They are on ebay now, at 99p. If you win them, feel free to drop the cash round whenever and pick them up.

Do you ever go to Tetsworth or West Wycombe/Bledlow?

I went to tetsworth last weekend and thought it was pretty rubbish for what its made out to be. My family always make our way to the west wycombe/bledlow one.
Is bledlow where you got your freejet from, cause I think i saw it on the second row!
Picked up a nilfisk square vacuum a few weeks ago and picked up all sorts over the years.
