Sale has ended. :-(. Strange design - it's from 1976, but it looks like the motor hood has that beautiful sleek low profile design from 1966! Can the Hooverphiles here please explain? Eurekaprince is quite curious....:-)

It was one of the last metal based hoovers, but it had the front tool conversion and only a 1 speed motor. We sold them in my store in 1979 for $59.95, if memory serves me right, I think they cost us $43.00 at the time and if we bought 12, they gave us free attachment sets for them.

Convertible fan question?

I recently acquired a Model U4119, which I know was one of the first plastic base convertibles. Stripped it down for cleaning and lubing. Noticed it had a metal impeller fan but a plastic upper bearing fan? Is that normal? Were plastic cooling fans used with the metal impeller fans during the trasitioning from metal to plastic based convertibles??
