I have an upright hoover convertible that works great. It is in fair condition at best. The hood part is kind of scratched. It is lime green with a green vinyl bag. I would like to trade for a vintage canister from at least the late 50s or early 60s. These are the machines I am looking for;eureka rotomatic, hoover constellation, singer canister, really any old canister I could consider. If interested email me at [email protected]

I'll try to load picture

thanks for your interest,do you have any old canister machines to trade? I will try to put a pic on either today or tomorrow. I see by your posts that you absolutely love the hoover convertibles. I think that's awesome! I too am quite fond of hoover constellations. I just got a nice model 84 in pristine condition from a gentleman on our site. Thanks Bill

Thanks for the reply!

I actually started out collecting old washers. The ones that are in front of the hoover are twin tubs by hoover. I got the interest in those very recently through the aw site. The only problem with them is that the pumps are always bad. I am not putting them down by saying this but with companies like hoover who specialize in one main machine like vacuums, quite often when they make another appliance like portable washers some component usually is not great. Hence the pumps are always bad. Where I live in a small town in the north woods of upstate ny,the folks who had those twin tub machines almost always had them because they couldn't get anything else and really almost always treated them with good natured contempt.Do you think you want the convertible? I wanted to trade for a canister machine. Let me know. thanks Bill

tell me about the convertible

I admit I don't know much about the hoover convertible. I don't see really anything convertible about it when I have studied it. Please explain to me it origins. Also being a hoover guy,do you know anything about the hoover constellation. I just bought a 1956 model 84 that is my champ machine right now. It is a real unique addition to my collection. Thanks Bill

That's very cool. I don't think I'd be interested though because I have one that's very similar and I don't have any canisters to trade you for it. I appreciate you sharing photos though.
