I just got my first Hoover Constellation after looking for one that was "reasonably" priced. This one is a little challenged cosmetically, but the engine sounds good and it seems to work well, but I was disappointed when I put it on a hardwood floor and turned it on and it failed to "float on air". The previous owner screwed casters to the base which I promptly removed. Could the holes from the caster screws be causing a lack of floatation or should I look elsewhere? It's a model eighty-six if that matters.
Thanks!
