I have found a nice new machine. It is an early Hoover Conquest! I hear these are quite rare. It has the tan hood with orange bag colour scheme. It doesn't have the re-useable cup. I didn't even know they were sold over here, probably very rare. It is 14 inches wide, the smaller size. I will add photos of my one when I can. I will add the one video I have found of this exact variant.

It is in fantastic condition from the photos.
Yes this one likely barely got used. Maybe was in a church or somewhere not too often vacuumed. Just generally speaking, these got run hard and put away dirty. They had some problem with the armature I think it was? The armature metal was too soft or something, or maybe the motor wasn't made for this application, and they just wore down like you wouldn't believe.

Unlike the Elite the Conquest seems to have very rarely broken a fan.
Someone on ebay is selling 3D printed replacement fans for Elites. It uses the later 20 vane design. I bought two and they seem well made. The original were plastic too so I don't see it as sacrificing durability. Gotta keep those old veterans running.

I love the Conquests. I refer them as the commercial version of the Concepts which are my most favorite Hoovers ever (Even though there was technically a commercial variant of a Concept). I mean the handles are the same like the non self propelled Concepts, they sound similar to a Concept, and they even take the same bags as the Concept. It's too bad they didn't sell as well as the Sanitaires because I'd definitely take one over a Sanitaire. They're easier to push, they don't pull the carpets as much, I like the brushroll better, they appear to be quieter, and they seem to be better built like there's no way a Sanitaire could handle this.

That is really clever.

I agree that they look great. My dad lives a 3 hour drive away from me and picked it up so my info is from a pixellated video call. If anyone has a belt that they could ship cheaper, that would be great. $100 is too much for me.

As long as you have a decent printer, the parts will be plenty strong. Balancing them could be interesting though, have you tried one out in a machine yet??

I've yet to see an Innovation in person, but I really want to someday. It's like if the Concept and Elite had a kid, you'd have the Innovation. I wish we had more of them here especially if they were built in the US because I would've liked them more than the Elites. Same goes for the Turbopowers, also yet to see one in person but also would've liked them more than the Elites despite the height being shorter.
