Shipping Costs

May very well be what keeps potential buyers at bay. It’s only one state over from me and shipping sits at $60! I can’t imagine what it would charge someone out on the west coast or panhandle states....I’d LOVE to have it, but I have to be selective where I spend my money these days.....

$60 shipping for me too, he has it set at a fixed rate. I bought two coffee can Hoovers off eBay in the past before the rate hikes from USPS and UPS so I can look later and see what I paid to have them shipped if it helps.

Someone will buy it if they want it badly enough. I've seen ones in worse shape sell for more, so I don't think the price is too far off.

If they can find a box big enough to ship that handle, $60 isn't an outrageous shipping price. When I used to sell on eBay it was rare to get an upright shipped out for less than $35 with FedEx Smartpost, the cheapest option eBay offers. So for a heavy vacuum with a handle that doesn't split apart, shipping is going to high wherever it goes.

Yeah, only one picture isn't great. Very hard to judge if its worth the price without more details.

I think somebody that's a member here is selling it, the vacuum and surroundings seem familiar. Not sure who it is though.

Seller

Fan-of-fans, I am inclined to think the OP may be the seller of the Vac. They are located in Milford, OH from what their profile says, and the machine’s location was Milford......I may be wrong, but occasionally 2+2=4 LOL!!! 😄

coffee can sold

so here's some info for you all.i did set a little higher shipping rate but it was close to what i set.i took the handle off & had two packages to keep it from oversize charges.the hoover got in a small bidding war which i did not mind.i'm unemployed as of now & was forced to retire.covid did my job in & i will not be getting called back.so the little extra money will come in handy.

Yeah they are definitely going for more than the last time I bought one. I think more collectors are catching onto these 1920s ones.
