Every now and then a good deal can be found on EBay, like with the model 63 I just got. You can see in the pictures below that it is quite nice, but the zipper on the bag is frozen. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to “unfreeze” it? I absolutely don’t want to ruin such a nice bag.

Thanks in advance.

You can try lightly spraying wd-40 and use 2 needle nose pliers to gently get it to working. 1 to hold the bag and 1 to hold the zipper. If zipper breaks then a seamstress is your only option.

Spray the WD 40 on a Qtip and then rub it along the zipper. It will take several times, but

it should start moving slowly. Just be patient and don't force it.

If you have already made sure there is no material caught from the inside, and you haven't saturated it with oil, I've heard that pencil lead, which contains graphite, will sometimes work on a metal zipper.

It really depends on whether it's rusted stuck (likely not) or caught on the fabric, or mechanically jammed.

How bout a really good close up pic of the zipper?
