Hoover 27 help needed

How do you get the brush roll out of the hoover 27 and how do you remove the hood? I will be cleaning the motor so any advice on what I should do to the motor?

Im going to send the motor to a repair shop

That is a shame! Did it run ok before the stripdown?

Nope. It didn't run at all before the strip down.
