Hi Guys,
I have recently acquired a hoover 1346 and was wondering if anyone on the site has a set or spare set) of tools for this model that they may consider selling to me. I have searched ebay but to no avail.

any help would be greatly appreciated

regards
David

One thing I suppose I should mention is to go around as many vac repair shops as you can, one place in Colne (Lancashire), where I used to live, the fella said he had a couple of sets of Junior tools, though at the time I wasn't interested in acquiring them, so you never know, there may be a repair shop hanging on to such things waiting for someone to buy them... :)

sorry, were we bidding against each other?

Been trying to get a junior in good condition for a long time.

I'm not very good at repair jobs so wanted one that was in good condition, i know most guys on here are able to restore old vacs but I'm no good at that.

Sorry :)

David

Don't worry about David, I'm glad it's gone to a good home :). I understand completely - I'm the same. I'm a whiz at cleaning up the body of old machines and I can do minor repairs. Ask me to do something with a motor and you've no chance lol.

I use T-Cut on all my machines to remove scuffs and light scratches, then use either standard furniture polish on a plastic machine to buff it up or car wax on a painted metal machine.

Yes, they will fit the 1346, thats why I posted the link in the first place ....

Never mind about this auction, they come up plenty of times, indeed there is at least one used hose as part of a much wider selection of used tools - but the adaptors included in that lot are of the earlier type and are not compatable.

Mick - are you completely loopy?
You are entirely at liberty to place a competing bid and to set your maximum at whatever you want - ebay is a public forum and it is your right to bid as you wish - but why on earth did you disclose what your maximum bid is? Do you not realise than any one on ebay can log in, bid up to £99.99 so as not to exceed your max. so you end up paying £100 for a set of tools which are by no means rare - even in this condition.

Oh ye of little faith. Have you seen the condition of the parts? From the photo supplied it does look like a set that has been well kept - and even the box isn't that bad. I don't think the bid price is that bad - someone wants it, and it may not receive as many bids.
