Rick

AHHHHHH YOU HAVE A DIMENSION 1000 GIMME GIMME GIMME!!!! hahaha, which model is it, the black one or the light blue/dark blue one without the adjustable power controls, that's the one we had

Here is my Kirby collection:
Classic III/Legend II/Generation 3/Diamond Edition/Sentria
I used to have 2 Sentrias. I traded 1 of them for a Legend II. There is a vid of my Legend II on YouTube under AdamMichaelMercer's channel.
Kirbys are indeed my favorite! :)
I really like the Heritage II/Legend/Legend II! :)

Kirbyultimate, what do you think of the G4? My friend who owns the one I worked on last weekend thinks it's a piece of junk. I know that that one still had a plastic fan, are the new ones still using plastic fans?

Welcome aboard Rich!!!!

You will love it here! You must tell us about what you do with those instruments!!! Other than play them....I mean are you studying music?

I am fascinated by electronic music and grand pianos!!

Rick

Crevicetool - well I'm going to college for business administration, I figured I did not want to make a living out of something that I love, and having to work on music would take the passion right out of it.

Eurekaprince - yes that's what it sounds like. I suppose they couldn't fit "Sounds like crap, and let's wake everyone up in the neighborhood while we vacuum - Belt" but I guess Whisper Belt sounds more quieter? hahaha

crevicetool, I forgot, besides service vacuum cleaners, I also tune and regulate pianos. I have my own business which I run, and get a lot of business from the surrounding schools and the college here.

coming to now...

So that I do not detract from the real purpose of this thread Rich, I will shoot you an E-mail.

Very glad you are here, seriously.

Welcome to the forum!

Rick

I don't understand why there are so many face pictures of the same person (one of them twice) on the vacuum thread... did I miss something?

Welcome to the group BTW. The Progressive canisters are very nice, and the quick release is a great feature. I used to sell them at Sears. I also had a Kenmore canister I named Kenny... it was the small blue one from the 70s. It came with an Electrolux straight suction nozzle and no power nozzle when I found it in the thrift shop... but I used it for years until the hose literally fell apart. I've never named another vacuum though!

Haha, don't ask me why there are a lot of face pics, I guess people wanted to introduce themselves or something haha.

Welcome Rich, I'm newer here as well. Nice machines! I also noticed your from Upstate New York. I lived in and around New Paltz through my childhood. Moved to Michigan in 1997.

And Sam (xraytech), is that convertible with the lime green hood in your pic a model 1030? I just found one of those at a thrift store for a fellow collecter. After he cleaned it up I was amazed at how cool the color scheme was with the lime green bag!

Matt, that Convertible is the 1020, the 1030 had a lime green bag to match the hood, the 1020 has a med seal griege bag
