Well, it's almost the 4th of July and I have reasons now to celebrate. I found this little jewel at the local Salvation Army store, and it only cost me the amazingly low amount of 5 greenbacks. It was marked only $10 smackaroos and you could imagine my surprise when I went to the check out with my purchase. If I could have done a back flip without hurting myself I would have made it a double. All the Heritage 1 really needed was a shine and the front safety switch reconnected - now that's a 5 dollar bombshell to make one bully of a 4th of July with. The next photo is where I'll bring it back to life with Skil. However, I'll not be using the vintage saws on it - as some may suppose. I think one can say...this little filly is ready for the derby. Getty Up!

I only paid $5 as well for my Heritage, Only mine barely needed a polishing, and I wouldn't be suprised if it had the original bag and belt installed. It is in near perfect condition, except for the bag topper has been changed to a heritage 2, as well as the bag fill tube. The emptor is original though, as well as the outer bag, which wasn't even dirty.

That's pretty good. I almost had a coronary when I got this one for a mere $28, for which I'm still boggling over. It was completely past the final stages of dilapidation when I got it. But, don't you knew it brings no greater satisfaction when you take a piece of neglected junk and make it live again. What an indwelling swell of joy it brings to one's heart in doing such a thing. I never seen the green bag before, but I do know it's a 1921 to 1922 Vacuette Special, and what a find it was. I posted a 4th of July picture of it below. I hope you enjoy. Oh, I like to title this one - She might be a greenie, but she's a red hot momma! Watch out! This powder keg is given off sparks! KABOOM!!
