I know where a second non cord away model is just like it with bag. It was next to this but I didn't have another $10 for it. Its in much better shape.

David - I don't think the newer Eureka upright outer bags can work on the older 200 series vacs. The connection between the base and the bag is different. The newer bags screw on, whereas the older Eurekas had bags that latched/unlatched onto the base for easy removal while changing the inner paper bag.

It might be best to go back and get the other Eureka because chances are the bag from that one will fit onto the Cordaway unit.

Just my thoughts on this....nice vac in the classic Eureka 1960's turquoise!

I'm going to tear this one down and give it an overhaul soon. I'm excited!

Looking at the 2nd picture, I can see one screw hole on the right side, I'd guess the left screw hole is obscured by the cable, so the bag could work, but without a closeup photo I couldn't be sure...

If it's the latch system though, you could probably get shake-out Sanitaire bags to fit, but they won't match in colour...

Hi Brandon! I must confess - my avatar is a vac I don't own! I am borrowing it from another "citizen" of Vacuumland (I think it's Bud Mattingly's vac). I asked for permission to use it because it is soooooooo close to the beloved Eureka 260 I grew up with (ours did not have a Cordaway).

So maybe you can ask Bud for some help with the vac. He probably could take more close-up pics for you. And yes, Bud's vac has a replacement lens. I distinctly remember that the original lens on these vacs was very transparent with a kind of grid on it, not creamy white like you see in my ID pic. The original lens kind of makes the vac look very scary! It's what made me terrified of the Eureka when I was really little.

I see the screw-hole you are talkng about David - indeed maybe Eureka had already changed the mounting device for the bag by the time this Cordaway version came out - not sure. I just remember that the 1960 version of this vac had a removable bag which was unlatched easily by flipping a latch off of a pin on the main unit.
