It seems the clip on the inside of the hose handle that holds the wands and attachments onto itself has come off. I asked a local vac shop if there was any solution and I was told I had to buy a whole new hose. As this is my daily vac and I have a Rainbow as well, I don't see myself spending upwards of $100 for another hose when this one is still functioning. It's mainly just annoying, especially when carrying the canister with the the other hand. Since our Aerus dealer here in Birmingham was shut down (a whole other story) I need some advice from all you Electrolux lovers and experts.
Thanks and God Bless !

I personally can't help

- But if it's any consolation, the same thing happened with my rainbow non-electric hose about 3 months after I had it. There are two plastic clips that snap into the unit (one of which broke from me carrying the hose over my shoulder and it hit the wall and snapped that piece off.) I had to get a new hose just because of that, but I later found that you can just buy the actual hose end and replace it. You might be able to buy just the end without having to replace the entire hose.

PS - I had a Renny and LOVED it, but it kept malfunctioning with the electrics in the hose. I went through two hoses and the same thing happened. Glad you're not having that trouble with yours.

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it. I actually bought this Lux from a couple who hadn't used it much. It's been great other than this clip issue.

Actually you Can Replace the Clip... Take it to ur Nearest Aerus Electrolux Service centre... they have Parts to replace those clips.. its very easy..
i had to do it with My Central Vacuum Hose.. they might be able to replace it on the spot for you

Ebay has that clip

Search for guardian hose clip. It is the same one you need, maybe a different color. Has the spring with it also. A vac shop should be able to put it in for you.

Thank you guys so much !! That helps me. And if any of you have a grey floor brush laying around I would love to buy it. I'm using the adapter on my cream floor tool. Works great but it doesn't match and gets on my nerves. Lol
Have a great evening everyone

If you can't find one let me know, I am an Aerus dealer and have them in stock. I will send you one no charge to help you out.
