The brushes have stopped working, what usually causes this? I was using it on my hardwood prior to sweeping, I turn it off and turn it back on and they're dead. Yes I just got this vacuum, haha!
Oh I should mention, the rocker switch was feeling a bit flaky when I used it a couple times previously. So I'm not sure if its something to do with the switch or brush. I would push the rocker switch to first and then second, it was hesitate in switching over. I'm wondering about this part now, do they usually go bad?
switches do go bad. The switch goes first click to the Power motor and then the second click has both motors running. A lot of people think when you go all the way with the switch that it is two speed. It is one motor for suction and the second motor for brushroll. If suction motor is running and you don't get the second motor to come on push your reset button.
owner's manual is available at aerushome.com. The reset button is if something gets in the brushroll and shuts off the motor to protect the belt. As I recall it is on the back and to the right of the handle.
read the manual on page 10 it said depending which model you had there was two locations denoted with lines from letter M. Lay the handle down and you might have it under the body. Another model has it in the back.
Have you taken the power nozzle cover off recently??? It looks as if someone took the cover off and did not reassemble it correctly, it looks like the button is not centered, remove the cover and make sure the circuit breaker is mounted in the little square box and make sure it is sticking through the hood when you reassemble it.
Thanks Vacman and everyone else! Its fixed, however I'm going to look for this specific part, I don't like how its bent now it feels near breaking stage. Thanks again!!
