An ebay seller is a friend of mine and she often offers me interesting old Kenmore vacs. I have bought from her in the past, both parts and whole vacuums. Early today I saw a really rare Kenmore Whispertone from the late 80's or maybe 1990 with a variable speed motor. It included the Powermate, wands, the hose with the rectangular housing on the nozzle end with a rocker off/on/floor switch and speed control slide switch on the top and the hose is still in good condition. $65. I didn't put that one on the watch list, I bought it.
So a few minutes ago my ebay seller friend sent me an e-mail with photos of a vac they just acquired. Guess what it was? A Whispertone with a variable speed motor and a hose that also seems to be in good condition (can't be positive, but it wasn't hanging in shreds like most hoses of that vintage). She says she is going to part it out. I think it's too valuble to part it out so I am hoping one of the Kenmore heads here will speak up and we can save this vacuum and keep it whole. Speak up now before she can take it apart. You don't want to buy it piece by piece on ebay.
Thanks
