help on hoover 6525C wiring

Hoover Senior 6525C removing the supressor

Tell your friend to remove all the additional wires he made, they're causing a short circuit.

This is how it's done properly on a 6525C. All you need to do is to just remove the supressor capacitor and disconnect it from the circuit. That's it, as simple as that.

Use my pictures as a reference.

Btw

It is absolutely normal and fine that on the other side where the other carbon brush contact is, that there's just 1 yellow wire going to it. That's how it's supposed to be.

The motor is wired in a series configuration where the stator and commutator are connected in series.
