Hello! And my new Prolux

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Ray is somewhat nice but he is definitely a salesman, he doesn't seem to understand the whole vacuum collecting thing either. I went in to get a box of style R bags and he immediately tried talking me into buying a new machine, telling me how old the Rennaisance is. I mentioned that I collect vacuums and he started asking me why I wouldn't just want one really good machine.

He deleted most of his Electrolux/Aerus YouTube videos. He used to have a video about the Bristol manufacturing plant but he deleted it.

That's why I love going into the Oreck store here in Richmond. They don't pressure me into buying anything, only ask what brings me into the store today and I tell them and it is a nice experience every time. Other vacuum stores have not provided me with the same positive experience.

So I must admit that I am equally as impressed with Aerus' customer service as I am annoyed at the DC store. I received the handle this afternoon. Figured there would be an extended wait but I was pleasant surprised! Now it looks all nice and new again.

Also just checked the Aerus site and the Arlington store has been removed :(

Replacement motor

Question for anyone who knows... I have a Regency Series upright. It's a nice machine, but it lacks really strong airflow from the suction motor. I'd like to upgrade the motor rather than just get a more powerful model. Is there a more powerful motor that I can put in my machine? If so, what is the name and model number I should look for...at some point, when money is not so tight.
Thanks in advance.
Justin
