What bothers me about this is a Miele should not need deceptive sales techniques to convince people. They are great quality products, although they may not deep clean like a Kirby. A Miele should be able to sell itself through it's ease of use and performance without lies and strange tests.
I know that Mieles are one of the dominant high end vacuum brands in my area because the dealer is a family owned business with 30+ years of experience and they know what they are doing. To my knowledge they don't need any silly tricks to make a sale.
