VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

What bothers me about this is a Miele should not need deceptive sales techniques to convince people. They are great quality products, although they may not deep clean like a Kirby. A Miele should be able to sell itself through it's ease of use and performance without lies and strange tests.

I know that Mieles are one of the dominant high end vacuum brands in my area because the dealer is a family owned business with 30+ years of experience and they know what they are doing. To my knowledge they don't need any silly tricks to make a sale.

I seen this video a couple of weeks ago and this guy seems pretty biased and did not test it right. Wouldnt any particles coming out of the bag would still get caught in the cloth bag? He had the bag out! Of course particles were getting out. this guy needs to zip up the bag on the kirby and his mouth

I also feel both the Meile and kirby vacuums can sell themselves if you let people try them.I use My Kirby Sentria together with my Meile Capricorn.both are fine machines-do a great job at what they are primarily designed to do.the Meile does a better job than the kirby at "canister" vacuum jobs-Of course the Kirby is best for cleaning ACRES of carpet.Gerry and his "tricks" can jump in the lake!At the Meile dealer out here in Greenville-met mikes cousin Brad who is also a Meile salesman-He just gives the Meile to the customer in the store to try-and he closes the sale most of the time!any good vac salesman should do that and skip the gimmicks. Will do this when me and another guy try to sell Kirbys part time in the Greenville area. And the sales will be FASTER-you can do more demos!
