Does anyone have a Handi-Sac bellow assembly? I need to replace mine on my 61. My 61 is about perfect and I would like to be able to use it, but I cannot with the bellow problem :(

If someone needs parts and you have what I need, I will gladly trade parts!

I would love to find an original rayon bag for my model 61, as the two I have are bojacks that take the later Type C bags. Does anyone out there still use the Type W handisac? I know not too long ago, someone on the forum was offering later Japanese-made top clips.

I use hoover type w handisac I had just recieved an all original model 61 a few days ago and I have only used it once since I got it because the bag is getting patched

The bellow is split end to end on a fold, and has been POORL

my bag is perfect, the machine has not one scratch. The bellow split end to end on the last fold. Someone attempted to glue it once and that made it worse.

You would think Hoover would have sold more model 61's, as it was the first postwar machine to offer customers the convenience of disposable bags. Prewar (early 1930's) Hoover offered the Hygienisac until AirWay successfully sued them for patent infringement. Hoover, in turn, would sue AirWay for putting beater bars on their agitator which sadly prompted the death of the AirWay Sanitary System. Actually Hoover sold more model 28's in about a 3:1 ratio. There were a few model 28's sold with disposable bag units. These are VERY rare. I think I may have one or two 28's with a later bojack outer bag so it takes disposable bags.

I had a split in the middle of the bellows and a friend of mine used some liquid Electrical Tape. it is like putting a layer of rubber on the broken area mending it back to good flexible shape again
