This is an Electrolux model XXX for sale, in great condition. It comes with most attachments, original cord, and cloth hose which has great suction but contains some fraying, see pictures for details. The rubber inside the dusting brush has some dry rot, but still works fine. Asking $85 or best offer, Paypal or money order accepted. Thanks for looking!

Well, with inflation, $69.75 in 1948 dollars equals $687.18 in 2014 dollars.

That being said, I agree that $85.00 is a bit steep for this machine given its condition and lack of rarity. Many millions of them were made (from 1937 to 1954), and many are still around and some are still being put to good and regular use by older homemakers. It's nothing to see a half-dozen or more on eBay at any given time.

I'm selling it for

A lady that got it from her neighbors. She doesn't really know what it's worth. I'm just selling it for what she's telling me to. Make me an offer and I'll talk to her about it. :)
