A few weeks ago I caught the Kirby bug when my grandmother gave me her DS50 that she hasn't used in about 30 years... I read everything there was to know about these amazing machines and sent it out to be privately reconditioned. In the meantime while it was away I decided to get my mom one of these amazing machines since she seems to go through those $100 specials every 6-12 months.
So I started scouring ebay and craigslist, and I came across what I first thought was a joke.... a Sentria II for $100.... yes, $100.
I immediately emailed the guy, fortunately I was the first to respond and took an hour ride to Long Island to grab it. The guy selling it told me he bought it for his wife and she couldn't be bothered with taking the front apart when she needed to use attachments. I tested it out and it's pretty flawless. I stopped by my local vacuum shop on the way to mom's house for a once-over and he said it's practically new; his jaw dropped when I told him what I paid for it.
Moral of the story, yes I'm a mama's boy... and you can get an amazing deal if you are tenacious enough!
