floor mate history

I wonder how the floor mates have changed over the years. I think there are currently 2 models, the floor mate and the floor mate deluxe. The deluxe holds more solution and has a slightly longer cord, but you lose the dry vacuum feature. As I said in a previous message, my friend's floor mate deluxe never removed much of the water, it was like the nozzle was too high. I used to put a bit of weight on it when going over the floor and it worked much better. Apparently at some point, there was a model that also included a hose and some attachments as well.

There were 2 versions of the 1st generation FloorMate

H3000 has 30ft cord* & one set of SpinScrub brushes

H3010 has 35ft cord* & two sets of SpinScrub brushes

I have the same one that John Lucia does

and I simply love it. It's the FloorMate Spinscrub 500. I did my kitchen and dining room floors with it yesterday: I really can't believe how wonderfully clean the floors come out when I use it! And to think, four decades ago my Mom would drag out a bucket of water, some Spic 'n Span, an o'Cedar mop, and some Glo-Coat to do the same thing!

Mom's still around: we have laminate floors now instead of linoleum, which we had back then, but oh how much easier that FloorMate makes it to keep 'em clean!
