Good information on the Wessel Werk MEB160 mini electric brush

I'm interested in getting one of these and ran into this site which has some great pictures of the inside of the MEB160. Is this the same thing as the HEB160 that's gotten a lot of good recommendations here?

Just thought I'd share for those of you who are interested.

By the way, does anyone know if the mini-wand with the black plastic sleeve will fit onto the hose stub of a Tristar CXL? I noticed that the mini-wand I've seen in past discussions of the HEB160 did not have the black plastic part.

Here's some info on mini-wand compatibility (the one with the black plastic sleeve) from another website:

COMPATIBILITY: Though the Mini Electric is compatible with all two pin connection hoses, the wand is not. It mates to the following hoses: Stealth, MD, Ace, BlackHawk, or any hose with two inches between the hose handle and the button lock on the hose handle stub tube.

This is the wand I ordered from AirStorm (SREC) & this mini wand fits perfectly good on a TriStar CXL.

btw, the HEB160 & MEB160 is really the same Wessel Werk mini power brush; the only difference is just the name.

I have that mini brush and it works great! Very quiet. The only drawback as with all mini brushes is that the cat hair gets wound around the roller brush because the roller diameter is so small. I just make sure to clean it every time I use it.

I'd love something like this for my Filter Queen but they're non existent in the UK as power nozzles aren't particularly popular over here.

Hair caught in brush roll tool

Use a non rotating brush tool to get the long hair first-wether it be animal or people hair.Then use the rotating brush tool for the finer,deep cleaning.

Rex, that's a good idea you have. BUT, these turbobrushes & mini powerbrushes have become popular recently because people want to remove pet hair....so by using a separate upholstery tool, you're kinda defeating the purpose of having it, don't you think?

What I would find interesting to see is if the latest turbobrushes Hoover, Eureka & Bissell have offered, where they have rubber teeth to catch the hair....I have to wonder whether this also helps to eliminate the hair wrapping around the brushroll?

I use a mini powerbrush specifically designed for the Plastiflex Central Vacuum hose, called Stair Pro. There's also a version for Electrolux vacuums as well. I have the Wessell Werk mini turbobrush that uses the same brushroll, & the Stair Pro, & I just find the Stair Pro's brush to be more aggressive & does a better job overall. And this isn't from lack of suction either, it's just the difference in brushroll design.

Gary....just wondering, do you have the Electrolux Sidekick mini pn as well? Whats your opinion on how this fares against the Wessell Werk mini pn?

Yes I have the Lux sidekick also. The Wessel Werk is quieter and in my opinion does a better job. It is more comfortable to use also due to the design.

No-don't think you would be defeating the powered roller brush tool at all-you would use the non roller tool to gulp up the hair that would wrap in the brush roll.the powered brush tool would give better pickup for the packed in dust and dirt on the upolstery than the non powered brush tool.the vibration and sweeping of the brush roll would get up ground in fine stuff.I have done the same with canister floor type tools-say vacumming an area where someone combs or brushes their hair-use the non powered carpet tool to pick up the large hair peices without twining-then use the power roller brush tool for the ground in dust and dirt.You would just use both tools for the "hairy" areas-carpets or furniture.It ends up being easier-no cleaning of the roller brush-and no hair to wreck the roller brush bearings.
