Going from Bad to Worse

The Rotho is a good choice for this display, as is the Haley's Comet. The Amway isn't so huge or heavy, or awful to make the list.

I think the "Self Cleaning Rotating Filter" on the Hoover series, especially the Z, was absolutely the worst idea ever. How could the company have given that thing a 'green light'? And it was made and designed in America. Perhaps that's why Hoover doesn't make vacuums here in the USA any longer.

Don't forget the H2O Vac (the one that looked like a large white shoe) before the H2O Turbo vac. The motor was in the center and the tank was IMPOSSIBLE to clean.

I must agree about the Thermax. Its the only one of that lot I have ever seen and used. horribly built poor suction poor water filtration.

I remember when they came out they were referred to as Home cleaning systems .. NOT a vacuum Cleaner.

Even the Pn was poor quality with the back wheels breaking off.
I also just love the way that the casters turn sideways the minute they hit any obstacle like a stand of dog hair
