Free vacuums

Tom Gasko has received a bunch of vacuums inclduing many Hoover Convertibles and Kirbys, if I understand him correctly. He is willing to give them to any members, just for the cost of shipping.

He would have posted this himself, except that he has been permanently banned from the forum by the webmaster. Therefore I offered to post this.

Wow...free vacs! I would much rather see one go to a collector than for it to find a new home in the bottom of a dumpster. I hope that collectors cash in on this one especially some of the newer collectors. So many people have been generous to me over the years and it help me build my collection. I really like to see times when we can help each other out. Thanks Clay!

Hi new member!

This is actually an eight year old post, so I'm guessing all of those vacs are long gone. The man that was giving those away is Tom Gasko, who runs the Vacuum Cleaner Museum now. The Museum didn't exist at that time. I'm sure others will chime in here. You should have no problems finding a Kirby Tradition as there are quite a few of them out there. I used to have one myself. Tom may even have a duplicate in the museum, but of course you'll have to ask him on that one.

The rumors of my death are also greatly exaggerated. LOL. I enjoy helping my fellow collectors when I can. The vacuum cleaner museum is a benefit to all collectors. And when I get duplicates, I do pass them along to other collectors.
