Greetings from Michigan! Hope all is well with everyone!
I recently received 3 great vintage vacs (Filter Queen LD31, Eureka 1746A Powerteam Canister, and a Eureka Cordaway upright) and would appreciate feedback on the following:
1. The FQ did not arrive with wands, hose, P/N, and the tools. Does anyone have a connection or maybe a personal inventory that we could discuss that could be sent to me for purchase or trade? If at all possible mint or near mint condition. I checked out Ebay and the prices to purchase everything separate are staggering... more than the vac's cost to me.
2.Also part of my NIB purchase included a Eureka 1746A power team canister. The spare parts mailing list that came with vac is dated 1-1-82.
a. The brush roll WAS NOT installed in power nozzle nor is in box LOL. I'm thinking either Inspector 78 at the Eureka factory was asleep at the switch or the shop owner need one asap for another matter. The vac is definitely not used for sure. Do you have a new suitable OEM brush roll, or the model # of the part? It does not take a hex end cap by the looks of it. (see attached picture)
b. Are there any current HEPA type bags that are a suitable fit for the Eureka "B"?
c. Although I have noticed with other NIB's from the 70s/80s that the yellow Eureka bag material seems to filter really good compared to today's genuine regular bags.
3 I also got a NIB Eureka burgundy cordaway upright! Awesome carpet cleaning machine!!! Almost like my mom had when I was five or six... until I vacuumed up a marble at that time! I've never had a vac with a Rugulator height adjustment before, and I have berber throughout. Is the rule of thumb to start at highest setting and work way down until the "buzz" of the brush hitting the carpet is heard? At that point do I lower it just a little more down for the most effective cleaning?
Thanks in advance everyone!
