That settles it!!!!

I've made my decision. Thanks for the offer guys, and I'm goin to take you up on it. Yep....I'm movin' in. Sorry about the short notice, but - I'll need my own bathroom/Jacuzzi tub. We'll have to get rid of a couple of those washing machine thingys that just take up space anyway....for the grand piano. Let me know when to start packing. As much lead time as possible will be appreciated. I will finally get in on those wonderful finds!!!

Thanks,

PS I used to have that Campbell's can! It will go great in the new study. You know, where the bouncing tub machine used to be.

Oh, David!

That is just stunning!

So, mine's probably a tad earlier than 1974?

What catalog is that? Simply fabulous scan! Thanks so much for sharing that...

I can only imagine what the other pages are like...

Hey Dave! Great Eureka line-up shot....I'm drooling!

What catalogue is that from? It can't be from Canada, can it? Didn't think we north of the 49th ever had a catalogue service offering the full line of Eurekas. I always thought Eaton's had the monopoly with the Viking line.....

By the way.....so glad to finally see confirmation of what I remember as the "Sweet Sixteen" name given to the line of 1600 canisters! I remember seeing a trade ad in Home Furnishings Daily at the time, and I could swear Eureka Williams was marketing the line as the "Sweet Sixteen"s - now I have validation! I am NOT meshugeh, as some would think...... :-)

oooops!

Sorry Brett!!!!!! Thought it was Dave who posted the catalogue! Now I know that this was a US store.....my apologies.... :-) Thanks for scanning and posting this gem of a line-up....

Hello Fred,

Great machines. We could have done with a good substantial basic lux cylinder like that one in this country.
Our basic luxes of that time were attractive enough but chronically underpowered.

What wattage is that one ?

Regards, Walter.

Dave-

We'll pencil you in! Maybe remind us a bit closer to the date(s) you'll be coming through! We'd love to meet you, and show off the collections!

Dare I ask... what's "Twingle Thrifting"??

~F

Great Finds, Fred!

Think my favorite of the 4 is the Lux L, but they're all nice machines! Hardly ever find any vintage machines in the thrifts or flea markets around here, just newer plastic stuff.
Congrats,
Jeff
