Today I found my dream machine, Hoover Sensotronic System 30 S3324. 1000W motor with the remote control and automatic suction control. It was quite expensive 50 euros but it looks so great, there is an even original yellow dustbag inside. It works fine and it is a very quiet. I think this is made in 1987-1988 if I am right

I will make a youtube video soon but first I have to find the new dust bag because now vacuum smells like an old dog=)

Best Regards
Markus

Good Lord! That is nice... Our canisters didn't look like that here until the mid 90s or so. What do vacs look like now in Finland? Do they have built in iPads or something?

After my gran sold her Electrolux 404 she got the standard sensitronic in green , she got it in 1988. It got misplaced many years ago , however I have just found another one that I am buying to add to my collection

Hi

Hi, Like the colour. I like the Sensotronic range but prefer the 500 series style.
I have a 500 series model but the electronic hose is damaged and needs replacing:o(

But its still a great vac:o)

Motor

Great find.

However, be careful not to overheat the motor with a clogged dustbag, filter or blocked hose.

My parents had a Sensotronic System 2, from 1982. In 1987 it started flinging small particles of plastic out of the exhaust (no exhaust filter, only a foam diffuser).

It turned out that it had a two-stage fan in aluminium, but with plastic inter-stage air baffles. As the motor got hot, the plastic softened, then got shredded and expelled.

The bag-check indicator on the first series (our model at least) only seemed to work when there was zero airflow, i.e. blocked hose, hand over hose end, etc. It never, ever registered with a full bag.

Also, the Hoover bags were reusable double-layered paper. I found that the double layer trapped fine dust between, reducing airflow. Best policy was to fit a new bag at each bag change, or if none were available, rip out the inner paper layer to release the fine dust, and refit.

Sensotronic Systems - "From Hoover - Who better"

Congratulations Markus, these are great vacs and very powerful, the hose was a bit unweildly but for a big area to clean they handle well.

Heres my System Sensotronic 50 (S3328) being taken for a test drive at a mini meet at Al`s (VacBear58) in London a few years ago....

Of course Hoover had at least 3 series of Sensotronics,

The first series, System 1,2,3,4,5,
then System 10,20,30,40,50 (Series 1 - S3322 - S3328),
then System 10,20,30,40,50 ( Series 2 - S3452,- S3456)
then the 500 series....

System Sensotronic - System 50 series 2

Model number S3456, in Blue, mine was packed in a box and over time has "Faded" from a bright blue to a bluey green, you can see the inset handle for the true colour, at first when I saw it I thought it was an exclusive!!!...Lol

This series had the larger Model 300 power head!!

Hey! Thank you very much for information. I didn´t know that these made 2 series so I was happy to get the first one=) . I was wondering this floornozzle, was it larger with wheel in series 2?

Erm ......

Time for a small correction I am afraid

There were three series all right but the pictures shown above are all the second series. The first series (Systems 1-5) are shown in the link.

I believe the US Hoover Dimension 1000 was similar in style at least, although with different wands and nozzles.

And even within the first series there were differences with the hose hand grip and wands.
