Took ye PN apart to clean today

Its a B48
Has a beater bar
LOL

I didn't run it yet as

I don't like running dirty motors

Yuck
Hair & more

Looks to me some parts have already been replaced
ye blue part
which was broken & cracked & went undergo Gorilla glue treatment today & is usable

Its missing the height control spring

Most of the day taking the motor apart

Apart it was
Sorry no pics

Armature came out
It has numbers on it 1 to 12

Bit distressed I may not have put it back in the motor shell correctly

Brushes are good
better than the first power nozzle I dismantled

Looks just like the GS motor but not labeled
Still it doesn't look original to me as I have another brown PN with a metal cased motor younger than this one

Anyway the motor is clean as a whistlle now
All hair & fuss & gunk removed

It has been assembled

Just hope those numbers aren't sort of a firing order & I screwed it up

Hers' the pile of pices

Yuck
Have to clean up everything & reassemble

Got the wand today hose & attachements
Not bad
Waiting for the base

Looks like a pile of junk
but you don't know what you're getting with these old ones
Until you peek inside

Well it was $50 so I hope I got my $ worth

Should if the base is OK
even if not I need parts

I've seen worse. After you rip apart a few of your typical 20-40 year old Electrolux power nozzles you start to become accostomed to this kind of mess.

I think I have a PN like that one in my basement. I'll have to get a picture of it.

It's Salvageable

Can't expect new

Not too many 30 year old vacs used a few times then retired

LOL

Here's the set up as seller picted

Pics don't tell everything

LOL

Hey, didn't get those great DVC filters yet

LOL

It;s an old one probably 75 ish

Looked like it had everything

Not great for rubber parts though being so old

I don't know
some of them call to me
& for $50 but then you got shipping
& these heavy hunks aren't cheap to ship

I got tools though
They aren't bad

got my dust brush
LOL

crevice too though not pictured

so if the base is decent I;m happy

Good thing is it doesn't appear to have been subject to rusty conditions

Hate those old rusted ones

LOL

Thing is by time I;m done I could have bought a new one
with all the this n that
but its fun
its like the lottery
& I get to take apart these old creatures & try to bring them back to life

LOL

Dr Shadowstein

LOL

I get a kick out of it
& they are the unwanted

So what the heck

It;s only life

Enjoy

Looking better

Went out on the balcony at 1 AM & out it together
Got done aroun 3 AM

did a short test

Success
runs good though neck is very worn wobbly
have to find that part

LOL

motor works great though
its as clean as they get
went through everything short of taking bearing out

Still its a bit rough

Then I stupidly went at the attachements & got done 4:30 AM

This is sick!

Today I did the entire apt with the PN
I'm impressed with this one as it did a really good job & on low as I used the vac that has the broken hi switch

Bet it would be even better on hi

Now, Waiting on the base unit
