Favourite Power Nozzle or brush roll?

my tristar cxl power nozzle is my favorite because of how quiet it is but the eureka vg3 beats the tristar pn any day because of how powerful it is.

lux pns are good, my favorite one is the pn5 like my marquis but i prefer the ones with the light on them.

The PNs posted by klectrolux are the same ones I use with the Compact C9 (Eureka PN with Vibra Groomer 1 brush/beater bar roller) & Electrolux 2100 (PN 1693 with light)

Also the TriStar A101 PN is the same as a Electrolux Epic 6500 PN

Agreed with Lesinutah. I really like the performance of my ebk360. I've noticed a lot of people seem to think the CT14DX was really good. That's the nozzle that came with my parent's M&S Airvac system. From day one it never seemed that great to me. It just seemed to sort of float over the carpet even on the lowest height setting. The ebk360 really grips the carpet and grooms it very well.

With the exception of the one that came with my Filter Queen Majestic, all the power nozzles I have are Electrolux. The PN1 definitely wins the beauty award; it's a lovely piece of mid-century design but it lacks a bit in the performance department, even with a new brush roll.

My favorite of the lot is its successor, the PN2. It's compact and an excellent performer all around, plus I'm just a sucker for shiny, polished metal.

Electrolux PN-2 or L shaped models

I’ve used all the Electrolux/Aerus power nozzle styles and I like them all because of the geared belt keeps them going on any style carpet snd they are t so incredibly strong so as to pull up an area rug into it as many others. The geared belt helps prevent burning the belt from stalling on certain types of carpet which I found with the older Eureka ones. The PN-2 is my favorite. The PN-4a I didn’t like as well. The PN-1 is ok but I have several and found some issues with them more so than the PN-2 or PN-4a’s. The L shaped do a good job and have nice airflow but can be large in tighter spaces.

Used a Panasonic power nozzle some years ago from a canister that I picked up and was dying. It had a reversing brush roll motor controlled by the neck. It knew if you were pushing or pulling it and would reverse the Brush direction. It was unique and gave a very self propelled feeling to it. It was a bit jerky though as it also would shut off between directions and changing from push and pull and that I wasn’t a fan of but it wasn’t that big of a deal once you got used to the feeling. But certainly something unique I had never seen before.

Probably the best one that I’ve had is the rainbow

D4 Powerhead, it always picks up a huge amount of stuff out of a carpet although design wise I prefer the Electrolux Australia powerheads, That triangle shape and the headlight on the top is just so elegant plus and uses the same kind of motor as the somewhat Modern singer sewing machines which is pretty cool

Out of the ones I own:

My favorite would have to be my Hoover Powermatic Quadraflex nozzle. Love that steel brush roll and that the headlight stays on in bare floor mode.

The Ryobi made dry pickup nozzle on my Kenmore Powerspray is cool too for its quirkiness. I think it uses the same brush roll as the Twin Fan upright. Not the most aggressive nozzle but with the airflow of that shop vac like suction unit it can really deep clean!

Of the ones I've used in my nearly 33 years, the Eureka Power Team with the belt window, and the Elux PN-2 that came with my grandma's Olympia. Sorry, no pics that I can find from my archives.
